BPKF supports research and educational activities in Nepal and also finances visits and exchanges between India and Nepal of scholars, poets, writers, journalists, artists, teachers, instructors, professors and other professional both in general field of education and in the field of agriculture, public health, science and technology and such other fields. The foundation has been also financing programmes and activities such as seminars, symposia, colloquia, workshops etc on subjects of common interest since its establishment. Issues regarding child development, women empowerment, conservation of cultural heritage and traditional crafts have been addressed. The foundation has been contributing towards publication of standard works in the field of Nepalese history and culture. The Foundation encourages the translation of standard works of Nepalese literature into Indian languages and vice-versa and arranging for their publication.

B.P Koirala India-Nepal Foundation launched a new website ‘ Sampark (INDIA NEPAL ALUMNI NETWORK)’ with the objective of bringing together tens of thousands of Nepali nationals, who have studied in India under various GOI scholarship programs and self-financing basis; the network will also include students currently pursuing studies in India.
