Strong cultural linkages exist between India & Nepal. This common belief influenced the very fundamentals of the foundation whose main perspective is to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. The activities related to art & culture alone account for the major fraction of activities carried out by the foundation. All major activities of BPKF aim at promoting culture of both the nations. These include: cultural nagari, talk programs, conversations, poemandu, cinemandu, Kid’s programme, artist’s visit, cultural exchanges programme, translation of literary related books, etc. Activities related to art & culture lies at the heart of BPKF’s entire activities.
BPKF supported the second edition of Janakpurdham Cultural Festival of SVCC. The two-session cultural event featured separate musical performances by teachers and students of the SVCC and singer Menuka Poudel, saree exhibitions, and a Mithila Food Festival curated by chef Santosh Shah. BPKF supported Echoes in the valley to organize a musical festival. Workshops on ‘Performing Strong’ at Nepal Vocational Academy and ‘Sampling Soundscapes’ at photo circle were conducted during the festival.
