BPKF supports research and educational activities in Nepal and also finances visits and exchanges between India and Nepal of scholars, poets, writers, journalists, artists, teachers, instructors, professors and other professional both in general field of education and in the field of agriculture, public health, science and technology and such other fields. The foundation has been also financing programmes and activities such as seminars, symposia, colloquia, workshops etc on subjects of common interest since its establishment. Issues regarding child development, women empowerment, conservation of cultural heritage and traditional crafts have been addressed. The foundation has been contributing towards publication of standard works in the field of Nepalese history and culture. The Foundation encourages the translation of standard works of Nepalese literature into Indian languages and vice-versa and arranging for their publication.
B.P Koirala India-Nepal Foundation has supported Central Department of Hindi, Tribhuvan University for the publication and designing of Jaishankar Prasad Special Edition and the translation of the stories by Prem Chandra into Nepali. The book was released during the celebration of Hindi Diwas on 10th January 2020.

BPKF has supported the translation of the famous novel ‘Shirishak Phool’ written by Bishnu Kumari Waiba (Parijat). The book was translated by Dr. Ganga Prasad Akela. The novel has received ‘Madan Puraskar’, the award offered in Nepal for ‘The Best Book of the Year’ in 2022 B.S.

Ms. Sita Devi Karna has done a wonderful folk mural painting on one of the Embassy’s wall under the guidance of Ms. Ragini Upadhyay- Board Member of BPKF.
