BPKF supports research and educational activities in Nepal and also finances visits and exchanges between India and Nepal of scholars, poets, writers, journalists, artists, teachers, instructors, professors and other professional both in general field of education and in the field of agriculture, public health, science and technology and such other fields.
The foundation has been also financing programmes and activities such as seminars, symposia, colloquia, workshops etc on subjects of common interest since its establishments. Issues regarding child development, women empowerment, conservation of cultural heritage and traditional crafts have been addressed. The foundation has been contributing towards publication of standard works in the field of Nepalese history and culture. The Foundation encourages the translation of standard works of Nepalese literature into Indian languages and vice-versa and arranging for their publication.
