Book Launch-Promoting Nepali Literature in Hindi
B.P Koirala India-Nepal Foundation published the translation of poems of Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya in Hindi-‘Bhanubhakta Ki Kavitayien’. The book was translated by famous Nepali-Hindi writer Shri Gopal Ashq and edited by Mr. Raghubir Sharma, Attache(Hindi), Embassy of India. It was released by the then Culture Minister of Nepal, Mr. Rabindra Adhikari and Ambassador Shri Puri on 10th January 2019 at Hotel Hyatt on the occasion of Vishwa Hindi Diwas. To promote literary ties between both the countries, a book written by Mr. Vinod Kumar Vishwakarma, Assistant Professor at Central Hindi Department, Tribhuvan University titled ‘Hindi ki Vishwa Yatra’ was also released during the event. Shri Shivdutt Dhakal was also felicitated during the event for translation of former Indian Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s poems ‘Meri Ekyawan Kavitayein’ in Nepali. Famous singer Ms. Saraswati Khatri of Sur-Sudha band along with Mr. Gurudev Kamat and Mr. Gopal Thakur gave a musical performance during the event. The programme was attended by more than 300 writers, authors, academicians and media personalities of Nepal.
