Next in its series of ‘Cinemandu’, BPKF featured the film ‘Sardar’ on 28^th October 2016 at Nepal Bharat Library to commemorate 141^st birth anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhvai Patel.

The film titled ‘Sardar’ is a 1993 Indian biopic on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of India's greatest freedom fighters, directed by Ketan Mehta and written by noted playwright Vijay Tendulkar. The film was about the contribution of Shri Patel to the freedom struggle and to the founding of independent and united India.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was an Indian barrister and statesman, one of the leaders of the Indian National Congress and one of the founding fathers of the Republic of India. He was a social leader who played a leading role in the country's struggle for independence and guided its integration into a united, independent nation.
